A 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Founded in Boise, Idaho. Our mission is to raise money in support of Fire Prevention Education and provide emergency financial support through Fire Departments and Municipal Programs to members of communities who have been affected by fire.

Light My Fire Grant Program
Through the generosity of our community, Light My Fire has grown in our fundraising efforts. With that growth, we are excited to reveal a new initiative that will support fire prevention and life safety education to more than 200 Fire Departments throughout the state of Idaho. The Light My Fire Grant will allow us to extend opportunities and support to communities outside of the Boise and Meridian fire districts to provide funds that will be used to deliver valuable fire and life safety education to the general public.

Why we do what we do
Just over 30 years ago, members of our Treasure Valley community witnessed a fire being fought in a local home that resulted in a devastating loss for the family. Nearly everything they owned was lost. Imagine the helplessness that everyone on the fire scene felt that day. Now imagine witnessing an unbelievable kindness from the firefighters after the fire was out. One by one, they witnessed the firefighters take cash out of their wallets and give it to the family.
